(I Kneel Before You)
He is always up there, where He reigns –
In the zenith of Glory, sublime,
Yet a Temple in faith He maintains
With His Covenant Spirit through time.
He chooses no humans by height,
And with titles and power doesn't trade.
On the Cross He reveals His true might,
Midst the souls where His kingdom is made.
In the hands that are stretched out with grace,
He is searching for wounds like His own.
Testing heart after heart in this place,
He selects what belongs to His Throne.
He recognizes no earthly kings,
And for teachers no fear will He keep.
If the grain of wheat dies to all things,
He revives it for harvest to reap.
Full of mercy to sinners of flesh,
He gives Spirit to Magdalene's soul,
So her heart finds the Pathway afresh
To the Garden of Eden, made whole.
A dim lantern He never puts out,
And He steps on no reed to its death.
Even wolves He can save from the doubt,
And call lambs with His life-giving breath.
My Almighty Example and Guide!
In His deeds – He is Holy, profound!
The most loved Heavenly Groom at her side!
To the Saints – Love and Song without bound!
He’s the Root in the Holy ground cast,
And the Star in the morning's bright shade!
To follow Him – first till the last,
So my spirit forever is stayed!
