(Fulfilled Premonitions)
Oh, love me now, no matter what I was...
A wanderer, a fool, a dreamer sighing.
From you came my bright laughter and because
Of you, I found what loved means, underlying.
Oh, love me now, no matter what I was...
A poet, bard, a fugitive in spaces.
From fire — ash, from stone — a dusty gauze,
But live for you, my only through all places.
Oh, love me now, no matter what I was...
A protest, blast. Or wound that still is bleeding.
From youth so long, I aged by time's laws.
But you stayed here, not leaving or receding.
Oh, love me now, no matter what I was...
A bitter cup, a sharp stone on your path.
I envied you, I trembled and, because
I burned, I held our fated flame from wrath.
Oh, love me now, no matter what I was...
So rich in love, but poor in all the rest.
For you I’m born! With you I lived across!
Oh, love me! For I am your last and best…
